PARTY PLANNING MODE

again. Few weeks from now and it's officially AUGUST. I've barely got two months to prepare for little boy's party. As you know, when its that time of the year when hubby's hives appear when he hears P-A-R-T-Y. Anyways, as my friends would tell me that my MANTRA won't and will never ever work. When it comes to my son's birthday, hubby doesn't have a say. He'll give the money and I'll work my butt off just to stay within the budget. We've been scouting around for venues and since it's only his 5th birthday, he decided to try another famous food chain. I'm just happy that he will be able to use his favorite theme perfect for this year. The layout for the invites and tarp are done. I bought some stuff for the loot bags whenever I have the chance and the money for the food are now in the can. Let's see if I can ask my sister to sponsor the cake again for 5th time. :)

Hubby's Birthday...

was fun and well spent with our family.

When little boy woke up, the first thing he said was " it's Papa's bday, right?" He went downstairs and gave his gift with a BIG hug and wet kiss. I just ordered pizza, cooked spaghetti and chicken for breakfast cuz we'll be having lunch with my family in Market! Market! A day prior to hubby's birthday, he called my dad (his lolo) and made lambing if he can watch Ice Age with them. Of course, how can my dad ignore that request.

After the movie, the boss (my son) told my mom that he's hungry. So, we went to his favorite resto and ordered liempo, seafood medley and chicken. I was still eating when he told my sister that he wants to eat fries. With his nanny and mama ninang, they went to Mcdonald's to have his fill of fries and 2 ice age toy. Before heading back to the resto, they made a quick trip to an outlet store and bought his favorite transformers and spiderman briefs. Binawian sila for the month he missed them. LOL!

GONE TOO SOON...

was one of mine and izech's favorite. Included in the list are man in the mirror, rock with you, remember the time and you are not alone. I watched CNN's coverage with MJ's memorial this morning (1AM) and I really feel the pain and loss not only from his family, friends but also from his FANS. I can truly understand Brooke Shield's eulogy about the little prince who made a difference despite of his color. I miss his music. I miss his presence. I miss HIM. He's like a child who never grew up. The sensitivity he showed through his music was deeply felt.

My son, who just found out what MJ's to the world, fell in love with his music and dance moves as well. After listening to his classics, he can sing and dance along with it. His and my ipod were filled with those songs that left a mark in our hearts.

MJ, you'll be missed.

It's...

been awhile and I know I've neglected this blog. I've been hit by a bad case of flu. NO, not the H1N1 but a normal (because-of-the-weather) type of flu. Just got back from the hospital last night and they confirmed that I shouldn't worry cuz the antibiotic will help. Starting next week, I'll be stuck at home gritting my teeth, hoping that little boy will be safe in school without me. I'm not used to leaving him alone without me or his yaya. However, they implemented a new policy that FETCHERS are not allowed to stay within the vicinity during class hours. I'm convincing myself that it'll be okay. I just hope I think of something to do to keep me preoccupied.

Is That Letter T Or F??

after 2 years, we went back to little boy's pedia-opthalmologist to have his eyes checked. You see, my son knows how to read already so imagine what I felt when he had difficulty recognizing some words. Anyways, I had a great shock when Dra told us that Izech has astigmatism on his right eye and far sighted on his left. Based on her assessment he has 200/150 for his right and left eye. We don't want further complications so we bought him his 1st eye glass. It's a dior that's he can bend and flex without destroying the shape. Expensive, yes but the help it,s going to do with his eyes will be worth it. I'm blogging this entry on our way home from the hospital. We'll have the prescription on Wednesday. I'll post pics once we get the glasses.

THIS IS IT!

My turn to be BLOG OF THE DAY!!! I was sooo thrilled! Good thing, my friend CHAT left an offline message this morning to share the news. I started blogging when I got pregnant with my son five years ago. At that time, I'm not really an active blogger. But when my son was born, I got hooked and can't seem to stop. It's like my brag-online journal. Blogging has helped me in so many ways. In fact, I was able to buy gadgets (ipod, slr, dvd video cam), my son's school stuff and lots of fashion loots while doing my favorite past time. I'm THANKFUL to all my (cyber) friends for giving me MORE reason to stay and write.

My Little DANCER.

Last Saturday, we watched little boy as he performed in their dance recital at Henry Irwin Theater in Ateneo. I was so proud when I saw him dance in front a huge crowd. He remembered the steps and when its time to change his costume, he sat in the balcony patiently waiting for me to come. We're already planning for his class next year. We'll definitely enroll him in Street Dance again. For now, you have to settle for pics and the video is still in the can.

Degree.

Trish, a very close friend from college, is seriously considering taking up another degree to supplement her business management course. She'll be attending review classes in order to Get CBAP Certified. Since, the price is relatively cheap compared to other centers, the $600 course price will cover BABOK 2.0 for the six week duration. Included in the program are assignments, flash cards and CBAP exam stimulation. I'm sure by the end of the review; she'll be able to answer each question without difficulty. I hope she won’t forget that classes will start on July 21st and ends on September 4th.

Lockers.

I was in the mall yesterday when I saw steel lockers for sale. I can still recall when I was in high school, I had to bring all my books home because of the lack of lockers in the classroom. Everyday I had to endure low back pain and sore hands from carrying those big books. It might have been more comfortable if each student has their own locker.

My friend has plans of setting up her own preschool. She asked for my help in looking for affordable school lockers. The penco guardian plus would be perfect for young kids. It's three tier size would accommodate toys, books and lots of extra stuff they need for school.

It would also be nice to add gym lockers for the varsity. The box style standards sleek style is a great addition to the swimming team. Just for $490, I can avail of the five tier-3, twelve inch high steel frame. Not bad, right?
